Balls knows. Surely the whole myth of new labour bringing about any kind of meaningful social change has been torn to shreds by the facts? Pardon me for saying it, but so fucking what if sure start is useful for some people. The poor children will go to shitter schools, get shitter jobs, less money, and die younger than their rich brethren. Thanks the Third Way. By ignoring classes of people and focussing on individuals (means testing etc), lo!, classes of people have drifted in material terms. All the inequality of liberalism and bureacracy and propaganda of socialism.
Fuck off the third way. It deserves the Tories to come in and tear the country to shreds.
